SELLERS INFORMATION

Tepper Galleries is a full-service auction gallery. We buy entire estates and provide a complete cleanout when we pickup the merchandise when we pick up. Estate Executors or attorneys click here.

We also buy individual items such as furniture, decorations, art, jewelry, rugs, etc.

Anyone interested in selling an item should bring it or photographs of the item to the gallery, or send photos to us by post or e-mail, so that we can evaluate its suitability for auction. Our appraisers are available one day a week to evaluate property for walk-in clients; no appointment is necessary.

If the item is too large to conveniently transport, or if it is an extensive collection, one may call Tepper with a description so that we might make an appointment to come see the property.on-site.

There is no charge for Tepper Galleries to come to your home, or for a verbal appraisal when you bring an item in to us. However, it is only a verbal estimate, not a written appraisal -- for written appraisals, see below.

On items we accept on consignment we take a 15% commission on items that we sell for $3000. or more, and 20% commission on items we sell below $3000.

When we sell property on consignment, you are paid 45 days after the date of the sale.

When we purchase property from a person, we pay by check on site on pick-up day. We do not purchase items that are brought into the gallery "off the street".


Professional written appraisals can be arranged if necessary on any Estate or Individual needs

Our written appraisals contain a complete description of individual items, including provenance, materials, dimensions and fair market value. There is a minimum fee plus an hourly rate for written appraisals which varies according to the travel and research required to make an accurate evaluation of the estate. Fee estimates can be provided once the details of a particular assignment are known.
